RUA (Radio Access Network Application Part -RANAP- User Adaption) is the protocol between the Home Node B (HNB) and the Home Node B Gateway (HNB-GW). It fulfils the HNB- HNB-GW communication requirements and is defined over the Iuh - reference point. It provides transparent transport for RANAP messages. It is defined by the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) organization.
